Inspiring Places

Familiar settings–the ones we see and occupy day after day–can only generate so many ideas. So it’s great when we have a chance to get out and see something new and interesting and exciting, inspiring places, people, cultures, languages, food, clothes, happenings, history. A warm smile. A tear.

Before you actually get into the writing part of the writing, you need to do a few warm ups–stair climbing, bike riding, propping up leaning towers, for instance–to get that blood flowing to the creative spaces in your brain. After that, no procrastination, no excuses. Just do it.
